Do you need to expand your aging network? Maybe a complete redesign is a better long term answer. It's time to consider replacing PC's with laptops and a wireless infrastructure.

The increasing sophistication of email attacks such as phishing and trojans, requires a diligent approach towards messaging security. This should include tighter security policies and better employee education. One way we at Ethernetworks approach this threat is to filter all email at the firewall using malware blacklists. Keeping these lists up to date is just as important as keeping your anti-virus current. For lock down security you can use whitelisting, blocking all unauthorized communications. |

Outdated Communications?
The ways we communicate seem to be growing exponentially. The analog telephone was good for over 100 years. Then the personal computer with Email became ubiquitous. After 10 years or so Email is already being superseded by Instant Messaging, PC Video Conferencing and free Telephony (Skype and other VOIP applications). It's a tough choice, embrace the new or keep the old tried and true methods. Not to worry, we're here to help.

Most businesses are shifting to web based email such as Google Apps so their employees can work remotely. Access from smart phones and tablets is also becoming important.

Electronic mail is mandatory in modern business environments. Scheduling, task delegation and project scheduling are just a few of the processes that benefit from email usage. Some companies will want to keep their email services in house for security reasons. Others can take advantage of free email with abundant storage available online. Either way, you should always keep a secure copy of all emails, preferably off site.
